Biography

Dr. Phillip Waalkes is an assistant professor in the counseling program. He received his Master's of Education in School Counseling from Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ. After working for about 5 years as a school counselor in a K-12 school in Western North Carolina, he obtained his Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Before working at WCU, Dr. Waalkes worked at the University of South Dakota and the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
