Biography
I am Associate Professor and Program Director for Masters of School Administration
(MSA) and Post Masters Certificate (PMC). I hold a Bachelors in Spanish from Lenoir-Rhyne
University, a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from State
University of New York, New Paltz; and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration
from Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ.<br><br>I have served as a classroom teacher, assistant
principal, principal, and county office administrator. I have lived and taught Kindergarten
through Doctoral students in New York, Spain, Virginia, Japan, California, and North
Carolina. Throughout my career, I have advocated for marginalized students, parents,
and community members. A strong focus of my work has involved helping immigrant students
and families through the acculturation process and in navigating U.S. school systems.<br><br>I
am passionate about the role of distributed leadership and teacher leadership to lead
our schools.Mentoring and growing aspiring school leaders is an integral part of my
work and life's mission.
