Biography
Mr. Doval is a current Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ faculty member with a diverse academic
and professional background in law and ethics. He was an Associate Professor at the
University of Maryland Global Campus' MBA program, where he spent two years backpacking
across Europe supporting United States soldiers as they earned their graduate degrees.
Before his time at UMGC, he had been business faculty at both Morgan State University
and Virginia State University. He has spent his academic career working to promote
education outcomes for underserved communities. Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth
of Virginia, Mr. Doval's expertise is in professional responsibility, business law,
intellectual property, and immigration law. Mr. Doval's professional career has been
focused on the management, sustainability, and success of small immigration law firms
toward partisan-neutral, pro-immigrant humanitarian efforts.<br><br>Mr. Doval received
his Juris Doctorate and Master of Telecommunications, Security and Network Management
from Syracuse University (Go Orange!), focusing on Internet Law, Intellectual Property,
and Technology Commercialization. He received his undergraduate degree in philosophy
from Virginia Commonwealth University (Go Rams!), with minors in both religious studies
and English. Mr. Doval has also completed Yale University’s (Go Bulldogs!) Sherwin
B. Nuland Institute in Bioethics with Special Honors, where he returned to assist
in content creation, administration, and the instruction of the intersections of business
and bioethics. Mr. Doval is an accomplished scholar and has published in several peer-reviewed
legal, public policy, and management journals. Further, he has presented his work
at nationally and internationally acclaimed conferences.
