Biography

Tatiana Potts is a native of Slovakia. She received her MFA in printmaking at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and BFA at the University of North Carolina, Asheville.

Research Interests

Architecture plays a central role in her art because it articulates built environment. She is interested in the ways that real places can be reinvented. She often uses her prints to create books and intricate folded paper installations inspired by doors or windows that represent portals to different spaces. Her work is in a number of galleries including MOCA, Jacksonville, FL, publications such as Printmaking Today, Hand Magazine, Printmaking Bible, and collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, UK and National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taichung, Taiwan, MIT Libraries and others.
