Biography

Prior to joining the faculty at WCU, Dr. Henson was an environmental regulator with the State of North Carolina and a civil and environmental design/build contractor throughout the southeastern United States. For the last fifteen years, Dr. Henson has been a civil and environmental consultant domestically and internationally. He has been involved with projects in England, Italy, Slovenia, Botswana, Nigeria, South Africa, India, Far Eastern Russia, Mexico, and Honduras.

Teaching Interests

Dr. Henson's teaching interests include the topics of plan reading, estimating, conservation, and the history of construction.

Research Interests

Dr. Henson's research interests include the interaction of manmade structures and the environment.
