Biography
I was born and raised in Indiana and have been a nurse for 20 years. I received a
bachelor's degree in in Biology from the University of Notre Dame in 1995 and a bachelor's
of science in nursing (BSN) from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana in 1998.
My clinical expertise is in women and children's health with experience in pediatric
intensive care, high-risk antepartum, and general pediatric nursing.
I first started working with students in the community college system in 2008. I
earned my Master's of Science in Nursing Education from 蘑菇短视频
in 2013, and my PhD in Nursing from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in
2017. I have been married for 20 years and have three sons and one daughter. I enjoy
reading, running (slowly), and hiking the mountain trails with my family and dog (a
poodle mix).
Teaching Interests
I am passionate about nursing research and teaching Evidence-Based Practice. I also
teach Nursing Leadership and Management and am a strong advocate for increasing the
voice and presence of nurse leaders in public discussions of health care research,
policy, and ethics.
Research Interests
The intersections of gender, class, ethics, and technology in health status and health
policy.
