Biography
Don Connelly teaches courses in broadcasting with specialties in broadcast sales and
local and network radio broadcasting. He earned his master's degree in mass communication
from the University of Central Missouri and spent 23 years in local and network radio
management. The last 18 years of his radio career were in the Orlando, Florida, market.
Connelly joined Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ from iHeartRadio, Inc. Networks. Connelly
is the author of Digital Radio Production, fourth edition, a college textbook published
by Waveland Press. Connelly's radio production work has been recognized nationally
on numerous occasions including five Broadcast Education Association Best of Competition
awards and five Broadcast Education Association King Family Foundation Best of Festival
Awards and one Gabriel Award from the Catholic Academy of Communication Arts Professionals.
He holds professional certifications from the Society of Broadcast Engineers and the
Radio Advertising Bureau.<br><br>Connelly's work with his students has been recognized
at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ, having received the Chancellor's Meritorious Service
Award to Students.<br><br>Connelly is the faculty adviser for the university's radio

social responsibility, and media literacy.

Known nationally for historical broadcasting research and for writing and producing
