Biography
<u>Bio</u>: Bachelor of Environmental Health Science with an emphasis on Occupational
Safety and Health and a Masters’ Degree in Project Management earned from WCU.<br>I
initially started my career in the Onsite Water Protection Section of the Jackson
County NC Health Department and then moved into the Food, Lodging and Institution
Program. I served the citizens of this county for seventeen years.<br><br><u>Personal
Note</u>: I am inspired to try to always have a positive impact. I hope to assist
students in my class to gain practical experience so that they are aligned with the
skill set that employers are needing today.<br><br><u>Experience:</u> I joined the
School of Health Sciences in 2019 as an Assistant Professor in the Environmental Health
Sciences Department. I came from the practice of Environmental Health beginning January

Disparities in Public Health<br><br><br>My goal is to engage students in a collaborative/discussion
based environment regarding current field of practice concepts.
Research Interests
Research Interest are centered around teaching and learning utilizing qualitative
research parameters for use in Environmental Health Practice.
