Biography

Dr. Summer Huntley-Dale is board certified nationally as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is also nationally board certified in the field of Lifestyle Medicine by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and International Board of Lifestyle Medicine (IBLM). She received a Ph.D. in Nursing from University of Phoenix, 2015. Her dissertation research investigated health promoting behaviors of nursing faculty and perceived levels of stress. She attained a Post-Masters Certificate, FNP Concentration, 2016 and a Masters of Science in Nursing with a focus in Nursing Administration, 2007 from Gardner-Webb University.<br><br>Dr. Huntley-Dale’s clinical background includes certified lifestyle medicine professional, family nurse practitioner specializing in women's health, and surgical-trauma intensive care nursing. She currently teaches in the DNP-FNP and RN to BSN Programs based at the Biltmore Park campus in Asheville, N.C.<br><br>Dr. Huntley-Dale is very interested in serving her community as an advocate for health and wellness. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking and running. She is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and the North Carolina Nurses Association.
