April 28There’s a new member of the Division of Advancement team at ĢƵ, and her name is Maddie. She doesn’t have a last name because she doesn’t need one. Maddie is WCU’s first-ever virtual engagement officer, a non-human avatar powered by artificial intelligence.

April 21An endeavor by members of ĢƵ’s African American Alumni Society to create a new student scholarship fund at their alma mater has crossed the $25,000 threshold necessary to start providing financial assistance on an annual basis.
