February 7Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµexperienced a notable increase in total enrollment from spring 2024 to spring 2025, with a 1.73% increase and a 2.39% increase in undergraduate students. The university also saw a 2.23% retention rate increase for fall 2024 to spring 2025 with a 92.14% retention rate reported.

Christopher Teuton to serve as speaker for James Cooper Memorial Lecture in Cherokee Studies at WCU
January 30This year's James Cooper Memorial Lecture in Cherokee Studies will take place on Monday, Feb. 3, 5:30 p.m., in Apodaca Building room 201. This year's speaker will be Christopher Teuton, who will deliver a talk titled "Wolf Wears Shoes: Standing in the Middle with Cherokee Storytelling."
