Academic Project Grants

About Undergraduate Academic Project Grants

Art Grants

Academic Project Grants (APGs) support undergraduate research and creative work efforts at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ. Any student or group of students working with a faculty sponsor is eligible to apply for a grant. Undergraduate students who submit a proposal can be granted funding support that can be used in many ways, through equipment, materials/supplies purchases, or travel to disseminate their research at local, regional, and even national conferences.

Traditional Awards fund Equipment, Materials/Supplies, Individual travel, and Group travel requests.
Awarded amounts are up to $750 per individual student proposal, and up to $2000 for group travel proposals. Funds are competitive and limited, and will be awarded in each cycle as funds are available.

Continuing this year: APGs include individual student travel requests to attend the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) NCUR has a long tradition of supporting undergraduate student's creative and research-based projects.

The Office of Research Administration (ORA) offers first-come, first-served, limited, competitive funding for travel to the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). Students may apply for up to $1,250 in travel support through the APG process.

To maximize your opportunity, submit your proposal early in the funding cycle. Additional travel support may also be available through your academic department.
