Certification Classes
Campus Recreation offers a variety of American Red Cross鈩� health and safety certification classes each semester. Most classes are offered in a blended learning format, which means participants must complete online modules prior to attending an in-person class. Once a participant completes and passes all online modules and in person class(es), they will receive their certification from the American Red Cross.

Adult First Aid/CPR/AED
Designed to help you recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and/or first aid emergencies. These courses teach you the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care when minutes matter. There are no prerequisites to take these courses; however, materials must be completed before the start of all certification courses; unless otherwise stated.

- CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers
- Basic Life Support

CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers
- CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers is to teach profession rescuers the skills needed
to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children
and infants.
- Skills that are taught:
- Rapid Assessment
- Giving Ventilations using a resuscitation mask
- Using a Bag-Valve-Mask Resuscitator (two rescuers)
- CPR and AED (single-rescuer, two rescuer, and multiple-rescuer team response with 4 rescuers
- Obstructed Airway Care (responsive and unresponsive)
- Skills that are taught:
