Brainfuse access is given to currently enrolled students on the Monday of the second week of classes. Brainfuse is 24/7 tutoring and writing support for online students. 

Your log in is your Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµemail address and your password is your 920# (student ID number).

Distance students are also welcome to use the Writing and Learning Commons services, and WaLC tutors are required to have completed the course they are tutoring for. However, it is important to know they do have set hours, that may not include weekends or evening options.

Brainfuse FAQs

Brainfuse is free to all Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµstudents.

Brainfuse is available for all students. . All students are pre-registered for each semester after the drop/add period. Cullowhee campus students may be granted temporary access to Brainfuse by contacting Distance Learning at distance@wcu.edu. Remember, you also have access to the on-campus Writing and Learning Commons and the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµMath Tutoring Center.

Brainfuse tutors are screened, trained, and managed directly by Brainfuse. Their tutors are recruited from a diverse tutoring pool and include a mix of professional tutors, retired instructors, graduate students and college faculty members. Only tutors with proven backgrounds in tutoring/teaching in their respective fields are hired by Brainfuse. Over 80% of tutors have a Master’s degree or a Ph.D. in their field.
