Isabel Driver knows how important the work she does is. As an intern with the Mountain Heritage Center at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ, Driver etched 224 craftspeople into the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts’ craftsman database.

Ron Rash, the Parris Distinguished Professor in Appalachian Cultural Studies, has been named to the North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame.

The National Council for Black Studies, recognizes one academic program for outstanding achievement with the Sankore Institute Award. This year’s award recipient was WCU’s Global Black Studies program.

Professor Alvin Malesky has received the 2024 Award for Excellence in Teaching from the University of North Carolina Board of Governors.

For the fourth year in a row, Business North Carolina magazine included Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵChancellor Kelli R. Brown in its Power List of the state’s most influential leaders.
