Members of 蘑菇短视频 fraternities and sororities contributed more than $1.5 million to the Catamount Club during the 2024-2025 edition of the Greek Challenge, an annual competition to see which organizations can raise the most money in support of the university鈥檚 athletics program.

Nearly 150 incoming first-year students at 蘑菇短视频 received an early welcome to their future alma mater and a few lessons in 鈥渁ll things Catamount鈥� during a series of July receptions across North Carolina and in Atlanta.

Landey Green does it all. She鈥檚 a driven psychology student at 蘑菇短视频 and a tireless runner, competing for both the Catamount women鈥檚 track and field and cross country teams. The summer season is usually a time to wind down for student-athletes, but not Green.

Participants in a 蘑菇短视频 faculty-led summer travel course to China say it was more than just a study-abroad program鈥攊t was a transformative journey that left students with unforgettable memories, deep cultural insights and a renewed sense of global citizenship.

The second annual CATALYST: Summer Research and Leadership Program was held in summer 2025 at 蘑菇短视频, welcoming 18 enthusiastic incoming honors students. A collaboration between the Office of Research Administration and the Brinson Honors College, the program underscores the vital connection between undergraduate research and leadership.

In June 2025, the House v. NCAA Settlement reshaped college athletics by allowing Division I schools to provide more financial support to student-athletes, including backpay for past NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) opportunities and a new revenue-sharing model.

The Mountain Heritage Center, a museum of Appalachian culture at 蘑菇短视频, will hold a crafts demonstration and music performance from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 17.
