    Jack Eaddy Jr., director of Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµâ€™s athletic bands and Pride of the Mountains marching band, has accepted a teaching position in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia.

    Kathryn Greeley, chair of the board, has been appointed to the University of North Carolina Board of Governors effective immediately. Joining the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµBoard effective July 1, will be former N.C. State Representative Jon Hardister.

    On Friday, June 14, WCU’s Board of Trustees approved Chris Williams as the university's chief information officer. Williams, who comes to Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµafter spending the last nine years as the IT director for Student Affairs at UNC at Chapel Hill, will begin his new position Monday, June 24.
