Enroll Tutors in Your Canvas Course
If you are teaching a course that has tutors or SI Leaders assigned to it, consider enrolling those students in your Canvas course so they can follow your curriculum and familiarize themselves with your course objectives.
To enroll a tutor or SI Leader in a Canvas course:
ձ &Բ; and log in with your ĢƵcredentials:
- Under “Frequent Requests,” click the “Request Enrollment” link.
- In the “Name” field, type the tutor’s name, catamount email address, or 920.
- Enter the information about your course.
- Select “Tutor” from the “Role” drop-down menu. The Tutor role allows WaLC employees to view your class as a student; they will not have access to the gradebook or any editing capabilities.
- IT will always verify that a student has been hired as a tutor by the WaLC or Math and Computer Science Tutoring Center before granting them tutor access in Canvas.
PRO TIP: ADD A NOTE FOR TUTORS IN YOUR GRADEBOOK
- If you need to identify students in your Canvas course who have been assigned a “Tutor” role, you can add a Notes column to your gradebook to indicate their role.
