Resources for Faculty and Staff
Undergraduate research, civic engagement, and service learning, internships, field
work, mentoring and advising, presentations at professional meetings, participation,
and leadership in social and professional organizations, international travel and
study, and culminating capstone experiences are central elements of department plans
to enhance the learning experience of our students. Funding is available to support
engagement-related activities through our Intentional Learning Plan associated grants
and Undergraduate Research Grants.
We take great pride in the quality of education provided to our students. Our faculty
works very hard to maintain these high standards and are constantly working towards
creating an ever evolving and engaging learning environment. As a means to recognize
faculty and staff who have gone above and beyond expectations, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵprovides several
awards to highlight their accomplishments. Significant engagement achievements are
recognized through a number of awards including the Innovation Scholar Award and the
O. Max Gardner Award.
Whether you are planning a service project for a class, searching for more information
about engaged research, or hoping to find a volunteer opportunity for yourself, the
Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning is committed to helping faculty
and staff working on engagement related projects. Explore their resources, forms,
and risk management materials or schedule a consultation about class projects.
