Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵScholarships
Scholarships offered by Western Carolina can be divided into three categories:
Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵoffers numerous scholarships that have been established by alumni and other friends
of the university. Some of these scholarships are based on financial need. Many of
these scholarships also have criteria related to academic program of study, county
of residence, or leadership and involvement in activities. The general scholarship
application is required for consideration for these scholarships. Students also must
submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 15 each year
in order to be considered for need-based scholarships.
Scholarships are available to students based on academic achievement. Consideration
is based on submission of the University Scholarship Application.
Graduate students can be considered for many of our merit-based and need-based scholarships
and should submit the online scholarship application. Additionally, there are several
programs available through the Graduate School to assist with funding your graduate
education.
