ĢƵBookstore rebrands as Catamount Store

ĢƵ's campus bookstore is getting a new name.

The ĢƵBookstore will now be known as the Catamount Store, a rebranding effort designed to better reflect the store's role in serving the ĢƵ community and the broader Catamount family.

While the name is changing, the Catamount Store will continue to provide textbooks, course materials, technology, apparel, gifts, and other items that support students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors.

The new name recognizes that the store offers much more than books and serves as a destination for Catamount spirit and connection.

“We’re thrilled to share The Catamount Store rebrand with our community. The bookstore and campus store industry has experienced radical changes over the past few years, and we wanted to purposefully recognize some of the changes that we’ve introduced to ensure The Catamount Store is a strong partner for students, faculty, staff, and our extended community for years to come,” said Robert Walker, associate vice chancellor for auxiliary services. “This includes our innovative Open Educational Resources (OER) grant program, digital purchase and rental options, streamlined electronic adoption procedures, and many initiatives focused on our retail business.”

The Catamount Store name will be reflected in store signage, marketing materials and communications moving forward.

In addition to providing products and services to the campus community, purchases made through the Catamount Store help support ĢƵstudents.

“What hasn’t changed is our team, our commitment to affordable student access through our unique textbook rental program, and our commitment to the student scholarship funding that is generated with every single purchase at The Catamount Store,” Walker said. “We’re proud to be your Catamount spirit shop, and we look forward to seeing you this Fall.”
