Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ welcomed North Carolina State Human Resources Director Staci Meyer to campus at the close of the Spring 2026 semester, providing an opportunity for meaningful engagement with faculty and staff.

During her visit, Meyer met with a variety of campus groups to gain a deeper understanding of the university’s workforce, culture, and priorities. She also attended a meeting of WCU’s Staff Senate, where she heard directly from staff representatives about their experiences and the issues most important to the campus community.

A highlight of the visit was a campuswide town hall, which gave employees the opportunity to ask questions, share feedback, and engage in open dialogue about state HR initiatives and policies. The discussion covered a range of topics, including employee benefits, recruitment and retention, and ongoing efforts to support a strong and responsive workforce across North Carolina’s public institutions.

Through a strong focus on partnership and shared goals, the N.C. Office of State Human Resources supports agencies and universities in attracting and retaining talented, dedicated employees. The office also works closely with institutions like Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵto make human resources processes more modern, clear, and easier to navigate.

Meyer’s visit underscored the importance of collaboration between state leadership and campus communities, reinforcing a shared commitment to supporting employees and strengthening the higher education workforce.
