From Stills to Tap: event at Innovation Station
The Mountain Heritage Center invites you to an upcoming event at Innovation Station at 40 Depot St. in Dillsboro. The event will take place on Thursday, August 6, from 5:00 鈥� 7:00 pm and is free and open to the public. Guests will get to take part in a tour of the brewery operation and will be able to listen to a presentation on the history of craft beverage making given by Danielle Duffy, Executive Director of the Appalachian Women鈥檚 Museum.
This event marks the end of the Moonshine: Spirit of Independence exhibit at the Mountain Heritage Center in Cullowhee as the exhibit closes on August 21. It invites you to explore the traditions, tales, and tools, including a full-size still, behind moonshine in western North Carolina. "Moonshine: Spirit of Independence" uncovers how a simple spirit became an enduring part of American folklore and a testament to the American drive for independence.
The Mountain Heritage Center is 蘑菇短视频鈥檚 museum about the culture and history of Southern Appalachia. The next exhibit, opening September 9 is entitled 鈥淧eople of Colonial North Carolina.鈥� The museum is open 10am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.
