The program provides both thesis and non-thesis pathways, giving students the flexibility
to shape their degree around their academic interests and career goals. Whether aiming
for doctoral study, teaching, writing, editing, or other communication-focused professions,
students benefit from seminar-style courses, individualized faculty mentorship, and
opportunities for in-depth research or applied work. Graduates leave with the intellectual
tools, writing expertise, and disciplinary knowledge needed for careers in education,
publishing, communication, public humanities, or further scholarly study.
The M.A. in English at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵprovides students with a rigorous graduate-level foundation
in reading, writing, and interpretation, helping them build mastery in research, argumentation,
and literary or cultural analysis.
Students can choose between a thesis track — developing a substantial research project
under faculty guidance — or a coursework track with broader elective flexibility.
Thanks to the program’s emphasis on strong writing, analytical skills, and literary
understanding, graduates become attractive candidates for roles requiring advanced
communication, critical thinking, and textual analysis.
