Minor

Electrical Power Engineering

The Electrical Power Engineering Minor at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ prepares students to understand the systems that power modern life. Designed to help meet workforce demand in the energy sector, the minor provides broad coverage of power engineering topics, including power systems, electrical machines, and power electronics, with an emphasis on design and analysis.

What You'll Learn

Courses cover electronics, semiconductors, power systems, electrical machines, power electronics and more.

Knowledge of power engineering is valuable across a wide range of industries, including electric utilities, power generation, renewable energy, industrial manufacturing, transportation infrastructure, and energy consulting. Students may find opportunities supporting electric power generation, transmission, distribution, and emerging energy technologies.
