for high-quality professional practice. ĢƵ’s Athletic Training
Program prepares skilled, forward-thinking leaders in the field.

What You'll Learn
ĢƵ’s Athletic Training Program prepares students to become confident, highly skilled, and professionally progressive athletic trainers through a comprehensive and innovative educational experience. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and hands-on skill development while providing diverse clinical education opportunities across a variety of settings. Students work closely with faculty and preceptors in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical environments to apply their knowledge in meaningful, real-world contexts. Through simulation, standardized patient encounters, interprofessional education, and service-learning experiences, students develop the competence, leadership, and professional adaptability necessary to advance the field and contribute meaningfully to the communities they serve.
Where You'll Go
Athletic trainers treat a wide range of patient populations in a variety of settings. Athletic trainers find jobs in colleges and universities, secondary schools, physicians’ offices, rehabilitation clinics, police and fire departments, military, performing arts, and other settings with physical active individuals. With employment growth for athletic training currently higher than other comparable health care fields, it is estimated that more than 12,000 new and replacement positions will open in the field within the next few years.
