Life@Western Carolina
LIFE@WesternCarolina is a lifelong education program specifically designed to provide learning opportunities to adults ages 50 and over. In this program, learners will participate in non-credit educational presentations led by current and retired WCU faculty and staff and other educators from the region.
12 non-credit sessions will be offered each semester. Weekly sessions will meet on WCU's main campus in Cullowhee, NC on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Hunter Library.
In-Person Membership:
- New members: $135 - Returning members: $120
- 24 sessions (1 per week, 12 per semester, 2 semesters). Included in the 24 sessions is a complementary invitation to the annual luncheon.
- One free guest pass for the membership.
- Free parking on campus during weekly sessions.
Guests (non-LIFE@Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµmembers) may attend up to two weekly in-person sessions for a
$10 fee. If a guest has attended twice and would like to attend more sessions, they
will be asked to register as a member.
Mission
To establish a community of lifelong learners, age 50 and over, by offering participant-determined
topics of interest that promote learning and community-university engagement.
Goal
The goal of LIFE@WesternCarolina is to provide a community education program for alumni,
retired faculty, and community members over the age of 50.
