For students who are required or opted into a thesis/dissertation/dissquisition track, you must submit your abstract/proposal and other documents properly in order to graduate. Please see the resources below to help you.
Thesis/ Dissquistion/ Dissertation Resources
Important dates to keep in mind:
- Abstracts are due the semester before you graduate on: April 10th, November 10th, or July 10th
- Final defense forms & completed thesis/dissertation/disquisitions are due the semester you plan to graduate on: April 10th, November 10th, or July 10th


Payment Deadlines
- Tuition and Fees for Graduate Students are due the first day of the term
- FAFSA deadlines: Financial Aid Office
- September 1: Applications due for Morrill Family Fund for Research in Education

Graduation applications should be completed the semester before you intend to graduate. Please contact the Registrar's Office (registrarsoffice@wcu.edu, or 828.227.7216) for current information regarding graduation.
**Graduate Students: You must be enrolled for at least one credit hour during the term in which you are scheduled to have your degree or certificate conferred. This enrollment includes the summer term.**
