Wide view of a contemporary art gallery with white walls displaying framed artworks and small installations. In the foreground, a dark sculpture of a reclining human figure rests on a low, hexagonal wooden pedestal. ĢƵ’s Annual Juried Undergraduate Exhibition is one of the longest-running Catamount art traditions. This exhibition is an extraordinary opportunity for ĢƵundergraduate students to share their artwork with a larger public and to enhance their skills in presenting artwork in a professional gallery setting. Entries are reviewed by an outside art professional who selects the works for exhibition at the ĢƵFine Art Museum. Selected works will be on view at the Museum from February 16 through March 25, 2027. An awards reception will be held at the ĢƵFine Art Museum on Thursday, March 4, 2027, from 5:00-7:00 PM. The juror for this exhibition will be announced soon!

All undergraduate students enrolled at ĢƵ are eligible to submit artwork for consideration. “Undergraduate” is defined as any student enrolled in a 400-level course or below during the current academic year. Artwork must have been created during the students’ time at WCU. Art majors and non-art majors are welcome to apply. Artwork previously exhibited in a Juried Undergraduate Exhibition at the ĢƵFine Art Museum is not eligible for consideration. Artwork previously exhibited in a BFA Portfolio Exhibition may be submitted for the juror to review.

This exhibition includes awards in several media categories, including two awards in 2-D Media, two awards in 3-D Media, one award in Design, and one award in Time-Based Media, as well as an overall Best in Show. Recipients of awards will receive their award payment via gift card, check, or direct deposit to the bank account set up through the University. The method of the award payment will depend on the award received.
