This past November, five Brinson Honors College students traveled to San Diego to present their 鈥淧artners in Peace鈥� project at the National Collegiate Honors Council鈥檚 annual conference.

The second annual CATALYST: Summer Research and Leadership Program was held in summer 2025 at 蘑菇短视频, welcoming 18 enthusiastic incoming honors students. A collaboration between the Office of Research Administration and the Brinson Honors College, the program underscores the vital connection between undergraduate research and leadership.

Mechanical Engineering Major, Ariel, tells his moving and inspirational story about growing up in Puerto Rico and eventually landing at 蘑菇短视频. Ariel is the recipient of the Brinson Honors College Outstanding Honors Senior Award.

A life-changing study-abroad opportunity in France for a shy undergraduate student with limited international travel experience helped spark a newfound sense of self-confidence and a successful business career, which inspired a financial contribution that is helping 蘑菇短视频 students follow in his globe-trotting footsteps.
